Biography
Courses taught include
Introduction to Forensic Sciences, Victimization, Introduction to Security, Introduction to Internship Experience, Drugs and Drug Policy in the United States, Comparative Criminal Justice Systems, First Year Seminar in Criminal Justice, Introduction to the Criminal Justice System, and Race, Crime and Justice. Also developed an embedded course that includes a trip to England.
Research Interests and Innovations
For the past five years supervised ACURA projects. Topics include: Diverse Disciplines in Forensic Sciences, Crime Prevention Resources, Campus Recycling, Literacy. Current research project focuses on utilizing forensic sciences in sciences and other curriculum encouraging collaborative teaching.
Active in Outreach Scholarship/Community Service Projects. Police Athletic League (PAL) with Abington Police Department along with a GED/Literacy program in Philadelphia (for at risk-students who have dropped out of high school or those who need assistance with English as a Second Language). Exploring additional projects working with a Charter School.
